Here you can find some information about the Brazilian artist Kikee.
What I do, in simple words
Kikee is a singer, songwriter, producer and teacher living in Rio Grande do Sul – Brazil, with more than 25 years of experience in music. Kikee began releasing his own music in 2018, earning more than 750,000 streams across all platforms, reflecting a growing and engaged fan base.
From 80s disco to pop, from electronic to Latin pop, what matters is expressing emotions with creative freedom. The songs tell stories of evolution, growth, learning and seek to convey timeless lessons and messages.
In addition to composing, singing and producing, Kikee teaches automation and electronics, having developed projects at the intersection, such as creating electronic synthesizer prototypes.
Musical Journey
Born in Lajeado/RS/Brazil, he grew up listening to radios and cassette tapes of Latin rock and gaucho music. He started learning music at the age of 11 with his godmother, who was a piano teacher. At the age of 13, he was already playing keyboards in the Lajeado Orchestra (OCLAJE). He also played guitar in local rock, reggae and MPB bands (LaRoots, X-Positivo, Trio Destila, S&A) until he was 29.
After a period of disconnection, he decided to focus on his own compositions. At the age of 32, he produced the EP Reencontrar (2018) with Gustavo Bassani, with songs created since he was 18, with references to gaucho pop-rock. He then completed his doctorate in engineering, living for a year in York, in the United Kingdom. There, he spent his free time composing songs about evolution. Using the notes from his diary, he composed the songs for the album Transição (2020). The song demos were presented to Pedro Acker, who co-produced and engineered the recording sessions at the York University studios. Vai Ser Difícil is a collaboration with his friend and mentor Gustavo Bassani, and Jamais Esquecer is a reinterpretation of LaRoots‘ music.
Between 2020 and 2023, his work evolved within Latin dance and electronic genres, and some collaborations began to emerge. In 2020, during the pandemic, Kikee produced Lecco’s EP Gratidão (2021), singing along on Pela Janela. In 2021, he participated in the production of the single Eu Apenas Soul, in collaboration with Tokyo Beat (Mônica Agena and Fabi Lugli). During this same period, his compositions with Latin and electronic references came to light, such as Ei Saudade, Não Liga Não (feat. Mari Junges) and Casa (feat. Felipe Beleza). In 2022, Sereia and Dancei came out, bringing together references from tropical, urban and reggaeton music. In 2022, he received the “Best Stage Performance and Interpretation” award at Pratas da Casa, a traditional music event in Lajeado-RS, for his live performance (liveset format) at the event.
Since then, he has been improving his compositions and collaborating with producers from the local electronic scene. In 2023, Entra Nessa Dança (produced by Easy Tag), Do You Wanna Go With Me?, as well as the remix of Do You Wanna Go With Me?, made by MeMachine and released by the label TheWav Records, were released. In 2024, A Little Crazy, a collaboration with Knorst, was released by the label TRM Records, which has already been shaking up the dance floors of the electronic scene in southern Brazil.
The artist’s evolution, his identity and vocal and production technique are reflected in the productions released from 2024 onwards. Such a Great Night is the result of passion and deepening of the creative process, as well as the acoustic version.

- Such a Great Night (Acoustic) (single – 2024) – This more intimate interpretation highlights the essence of the lyrics, which celebrate human connection and moments of joy with those we love. With innovative arrangements, acoustic guitars and a warmer sound, this version brings a feeling of closeness and allows for an even deeper connection with the song’s message.
- Such a Great Night (single – 2024) – is a celebration of human connection, surrounded by a sound and dance atmosphere that takes us back to the vibrant 80s. The lyrics reflect on the joy of being with those we love, the magic of letting go of worries, and the simplicity of sharing the present moment.
- Boom Boom (single – 2024) – mixing several Latin and urban genres, it brings a message about our relationship with technology and social media.
- Do You Wanna Go With Me? (single – 2023) my first song singing in English, in a contemporary disco/pop vibe.
- Entra Nessa Dança (Get Into Dancing) (single – 2023) song produced in collaboration with Easy Tag, in a vibe full of energy and dancing.
- NaBaia Sessions (EP Ao Vivo) Liveset version of the songs Dancei and Sereia, recorded live in the studio in August 2022 in Lajeado/RS.
- Dancei (in portuguese, it’s a slang wich means when you screw something up) (single – 2022) tells the story of a crush met at a dance floor. The song is a reggaeton, Latin pop, with a 90’s tropical vibe, dreamy and made for dancing. It follows the same aesthetics of the Sereia song.
- Sereia (Mermaid) (single – 2022) tells the story of a sailor who has been sailing for a long time, feels the loneliness and doldrums of days during his journey across the sea. He hears a sweet, distant voice that sings and delights him. Will it be delirium, or the chance to live something new? The song is a pop/reggaeton song, with a sound, timbres and elements that carry a tropical vibe, with energy and momentum reminiscent of the movements of the sea.
- Casa (house) (single – 2022) Mixing Portuguese, Spanish and Latin urban genres, Kikee and Felipe Beleza sing about letting go of the past, and about the present and future. The song progresses from electronic and organic Latin rhythms and ends up like a dance of the 80s.
- Não Liga Não (Don’t call me) (single 2021) Lively and dancing reggaeton, inspired by the courage to follow dreams. A duo of Kikee and Mari Junges. The sound mixes the entire American continent, in a tropical climate, with contemporary pop energy.
- Ei Saudade (how to descreibe the word Saudade in English??? A feeling of missing the good times, maybe?) (single 2021): Bringing references from across the continent, from traditionalist music from Rio Grande do Sul, urban Latin, electronic chill to Texan guitar, it portrays the affliction and longing for the street, the freedom to flow in life and relationships.
- Transição (Transition) (2020 album) Produced between 2018 and 2020, the album has 11 songs produced and recorded at the University of York Studio, UK during the period I lived in the city of York.
- Reencontrar (Rediscovery) (EP, 2018). The starting point of this journey, with songs that I had been writing and saving since I was 18 years old.
